Year 12 Mock Review- Isabella L
Last week, year 12 took their first set of Mock Exams. After hearing some mixed opinions, I thought I’d ask a few of them to rate their experience. Obviously exams are different for everyone and these comments were given before people received their results, so for the most part I don’t recommend taking them as guidance if you are picking your A Levels. This is purely to see how the year have coped with their exams (for the most part, not amazingly).
Media
6/10. It was peculiar to type an exam for the first time.
Classics
8/10. I ran out of time because I read the wrong finish time.
English literature
4/10. Enough said.
Geography
8/10. Some of the questions seemed a bit repetitive, but finished it just in time, so that’s a win.
Chemistry
2/10. Adding the re-sit date to my calendar right now
Psychology
10/10. Perfect in every way.
Biology
5/10. It could’ve been worse
Politics
1/10. Incredibly concerning, nearly cried.
DT
2/10. Horrific, I thought I knew the content, but I didn’t.
History
5/10. One question was amazing, the rest were awful.
Physics
4/10. Way too much on electrical circuits.
Maths
5/10. Ultimately ran out of time.
Further Maths
12/10. Could do it with my eyes closed.
Computing
6/10. Everything I expected to come up came up, but I still wasn’t prepared.
English Language
6/10. Average.
Economics
9/10. Multiple choice was very easy (it was only multiple choice).
Biology
5/10. It could’ve been worse.
BTEC Sport
8/10. Pretty good paper, good questions, nothing unexpected.
French
7/10. The people speaking in listening were too fast, so I had to replay it a few times.
