‘Just Eat your way through life!’ – Yeknaz
Hey everyone, unfortunately I have run out of Kebab’s to write about so instead I’ve decided to critic takeout places for you. There are currently 9 restaurant’s on Just Eat delivering to school, which I as a Londoner find humorous and I truly feel sorry for you. As a result I’ve dedicated my time to writing a fantastic article on what you can get your hands on through the Just Eat app.
Starting of we have ‘Mother Indian Takeaway’ as you can infer from its name this takeaway offers a variety of Indian cuisine and curries however I certainly wouldn’t take it as a representation of Indian food because this takeaway place doesn’t do its job very well. It has a food hygiene rating of 4 and a overall rating of 5.2/6. My experience with this takeaway place was that it was overcharging for “okay” food. I would say the portion sizes weren’t small but they weren’t worthy of the price paid. The food arrived cold and delivery was late by one hour. Mother Indian Takeaway left me very saddened when they gave me 1 poppadom even tough they marketed it as “poppadoms” on Just Eat, which by the use of the plural I’m inferring that I should have received more than one. On the other hand their naan bread was very delicious. If you are looking for a nice and enjoyable Indian take out I wouldn’t recommend ‘Mother Indian Takeaway’ however luckily there is another Indian restaurant on Just Eat you can take a look at. My rating is 4/10.
Continuing we have ‘Kebapizza’ this restaurant has a food hygiene rating of 5 and a overall rating of 4.2/6. Initially judging it by its name, it’s not very imaginative but I guess that’s because their dull name is a metaphor for their dry food. My experience with this restaurant wasn’t one of the best, their service was friendly and the food arrived on time however the food didn’t perform to the standards. Unfortunately it was overly greasy and tasted off. I’m going to have to agree with Trish from the Just Eat reviews who said “the pizza was like eating cardboard”. The portion sizes are small and you don’t get Salad with your kebab which is just not acceptable. On the other hand ‘Kebapizza’ has a wide variety of items on its menu including pastas and calzones which I haven’t had a chance to try yet. If you would like to take a brave approach and try the other items from the menu that’s not a pizza or a kebab I’m all for it. The prices are very similar to other kebab places on Just Eat so I would recommend buying from somewhere else. My rating is 5/10.
Lastly we have ‘Super Kebab House’, this restaurant has a food hygiene rating of 5 and a overall rating of 4.4/6. My experience with the ‘Super Kebab House’ was that the “super” in its name was slightly optimistic however enthusiasm is key. The food arrived late and cold but the quality of the food wasn’t bad overall. One pro tip the Howe girls can give to you is to not order for 12 people in one go because the order will arrive incomplete and some will be left in misery or they’ll just eat your food which isn’t nice at all. All jokes to one side, this restaurant is usually on time and their food is pretty decent with big portion sizes other than the pizza because that is amazing. Their kebab’s tasted pretty delicious and were large in size. Also in comparison to ‘Kebapizza’ their kebabs came with salad which is the minimum expectation. Their service was friendly and they sent out the missing items we had ordered immediately and free of charge. The ‘Super Kebab House; provides good quality food for a reasonable price. My rating is 7/10.
Thank you for reading everyone.
