2026 Winter Olympics Top Stories

With the Winter Olympics having finished recently, and the next action being in the French Alps in 2023, here is my run down of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics…

Team GB won 3 golds, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal, equalling their best ever hauls (2014/18).
Lindsey Vonn, (an American downhill ski racer) suffered severe fractures in her left leg, after hitting a flag. She has recently announced she risked amputation… is this related to her previously torn ACL?
The Canadian Curling team’s ‘double-touch’ drama in their round against the Swedes… was it cheating?
Eileen Gu has earned the title of ‘most decorated female freestyle skier’ with 6 Olympic medals to date (3 gold, 3 silver).
Trump has been criticised for his ‘sexist’ comments to the Men’s US Ice Hockey Team, regarding the Women’s win.
A rather bizarre rumour about how (and where…) doping occurs in ski-jumping, in order to make the suits bigger.
Alysa Liu, the winner of Gold, in Women’s Singles Figure-skating, made a huge comeback after her early retirement at the age of 16.
There was a horror crash for the Austrian bob-sleighers, ending up upside down at 117km/h.
Of course, the Norwegian medalist, who confessed to cheating on his girlfriend on live TV. Unfortunately, this did not result in forgiveness.
