Mock Exams Wrapped: Year 12 – Estelle L

As mock week comes to a close for Year 12s, and results come piling in, and public examinations draw closer for Year 13, what do the current lower sixth think about their chances next year – based off of these sets of exams?

So, here is the compilation of Year 12 quotes from students reflecting on these examinations: Mock Exams Wrapped!

Firstly, how did the students of core subjects do…

Maths

“Despite Careful preparation, not the result I was hoping for, but ready to bounce back for Year 13.”

English

“A pretty solid performance.”

“English’s as quite nice: the essay questions were diverse and interesting, allowing me to test my knowledge and understanding of the literary works.” – clearly and English student!

“A really nice question, giving me hope that I’m prepared for next year!”

Physics

“I thought I was bossing it, but I might have some reading up to do.”

And the rest…

Geography

“Absolutely not. You do not want an answer coming from me”

“It was alright, I guess. Not really, actually”

“I’m not answering ant questions. I’m in grief”

History

“Chill”

“History was like a rollercoaster… half of the mock, it felt good; the other half it [did not]”

Spanish

“All I can say is that I’m never claiming to be bilingual again.”

Music

“What a rush! An electric atmosphere (not avenue) and I am buzzing with the results” – special mention that this student got an A*

“Good. Should’ve gotten an A* – only two marks off…!”

Business

“Well… better than I thought it would, but might be luck.”

“Pretty well. Yeah! It went alright. Business went fire.”

Economics

Differing responses here:

“It was all luck.”

“Easiest test of my life. 2 hours revision = 93%.”

A round of very different quotes here – perhaps a recap will be necessary this next time next year after the real thing. Maybe opinions will have changed by a lot!
