The Return of the English Festivals – Rosy F
Summer 2021 saw the return of festivals, with plenty of them happening from July all the way up to September. I asked some festival goers from RHS a few questions to see whether risking covid was actually worth it.
Latitude 22nd – 25th July, Southwold (reviewed by Maddy E)
Boardmasters 11th – 15th August, Newquay (reviewed by Angus W)
Reading & Leeds 27th – 29th August, Reading and Leeds (reviewed by Alex D)
Sundown 3rd – 5th September, Norwich (reviewed by Zeke L)
From these responses it is clear that the festivals this year did not disappoint, with some great acts. I can definitely say that if you are expecting a luxury weekend with pristine toilets, these festivals may not before for you. But if you are just looking to enjoy some music with your friends, maybe think about finding out more information about these festivals. The average price for a weekend ticket at each festival is £150 but remember to bring a lot more money as the food is overpriced! Most of these festivals happen yearly so if you missed out this time, there is always next year!
