Staff Through the Keyhole week 3 – Hebe M

Staff Through the Keyhole week 3 – Hebe M

After a brief pause – thanks to the hundreds of school events (mostly music related as always) – Staff Through the Keyhole has returned.

Last edition proved particularly tricky with its subtle clues. Congratulations go to Sophie, who was the first to correctly guess that our mystery teacher was none other than: Mrs Harmer! The abundance of history-themed books and the flourishing jungle of plants may have been subtle clues for some, but as an A-level historian myself, the answer was pretty clear if you’ve spent enough time in her classroom. Mrs Harmer’s passion for history clearly shined through – with nearly every book aligned with the GCSE and A-level specifications. I might need to borrow one or two to help me get through Tudor rebellion…

But let’s now step away from history; it’s time to begin the final edition for this half term…

To begin we should take a note of the neatly hung medals, proudly displayed. Someone clearly wanting us to know of their success. Perhaps a keen cricketer…

Moving into the expansive garden. Perfect for a kick-about or a quick rugby match. A keen gardener too, it seems, by the neat row of vegetables that look almost too good to eat.

This is a rather grand office space. Could this belong to someone important within the school? There are also a few ornaments and pictures to observe. I can’t help but admire the armchair – looks extremely comfortable and perfect to flop in after a long day at school. Fun fact: I’m fairly certain my dad has this exact desk at home!

Finally, we have an impressive and extensive collection of books. I’m wondering if we’re beginning to spot a theme here… Also I notice a number of iPhone boxes present, how many phones does this person own?

That concludes this week’s tour. I hope you all have a wonderful half term – and plenty of time to mull over who this mystery home might belong to. As always, if you think you’ve cracked the case, come find me (I’ll probably be in the music school) or email me. Correct answer will earn a shout out in the next edition.
