Staff Rant #6 – Miss Campbell

School
  1. My tiny sausage dog’s very loud and incessant barking (even if he is adorable in every other way)
  2. The RHS wind
  3. The fact that my classroom is the furthest point away from my house on the school site. I suppose it’s good for my health…
  4. The unbelievable heat of my classroom in summer yet the fact that it can get ‘chilly’ in winter (to the point that iPads actually fail to function).
  5. The fact that philosophy is so underrated and misunderstood as a subject. It shouldn’t irritate me, because philosophers should merely pity the ignorant…but it still does.
  6. When people say “my philosophy on life is…” – THAT’S NOT WHAT IT MEANS.
  7. My own OCD about the cleanliness of my house. I have more important things to do than clean but I. JUST. CAN’T. RESIST.
  8. Hair washing. What a faff. I have better things to do with my time (like clean my house)
  9. People who are aggressive to those with different political opinions to their own. We live in a democracy and for that we are very lucky.
  10. When people ask “What can you do with a philosophy degree?” LITERALLY ANYTHING YOU IGNORANT FOOL.
