Sailing at RHS – Polina G.
Sailing is a major sport at RHS and this school is widely known for this unique opportunity. Here students are able not only to study how to sail but to become a professional sailor as well.
I have been sailing already for a term, however, it has been a fascinating journey with a lot of memories. When I first came I was scared but excited to start. Luckily my coach is Mr. Sibson who gave me a soft start. I can easily remember how tough it was.
Students at RHS are always supported and this is why they can try something new that’s to them. The main reason why I am doing it: my academic studies and sport are polar opposites and provide an ideal balance. It always has been sport which gives me an opportunity to switch off from my worries.
People tend to like something what they are good at, it is just natural. Sailing is exactly the sport in which you can see improvement incredibly quickly. So if you are not good at waiting for a good result for a long time, this is your sign to try sailing.
