World Book Day!-Tasha H.
Here is a collection of the AMAZING events that have taken place at the library for World Book Day.
Events:
1) Scavenger hunt
Pupil had to find 14 book characters hidden around the school, using clever clues that lead them all around the school. They then had to use this information to uncover a secret message, the final answer!
2) Speech bubble challenge-Calvin and Hobbes
Many of you may have read this humorous series. Well, this week was your chance to create your own witty conversation between Calvin and Hobbes.
3) Book tasting
For the last few days, Mrs Burns has organised a ‘Book tasting’ table where pupils can come in and ‘sample’ the array of amazing books on the table, and then hopefully take them out.
4) Favourite books from the Staff
You may have noticed on Thursday that many staff were walking around with their favourite book in their hand, or a picture of the cover on their lanyard. This is such a great way to find a little bit more about someone!
Here is a picture of Mrs Burns’ favourite books:
5) FREE Books!
As per usual with World Book Day, there are some free books on offer at the library. If you haven’t already come and gotten one, they are still there, so don’t miss out!
And, you can’t forget the lovely prizes that were on offer for the scavenger hunt and speech bubble challenge.
I hope everyone had a great World Book Day!
