Cats of RHS Edition #2 – Mr Corby
This is BBG, born at the end of April she’s a Botley / Barraclough cross with a hefty number of Bengal alleles on her mother’s side and plenty of God knows what from her father. That said, BBG (it stands for Baby Girl) is utterly adorable and extremely cute, she’s also very gently, fiercely intelligent and utterly mental. Little G seems to get separation anxiety if left for too long, we’re not entirely sure that this is genuine as it might just be that she puts up an incredibly good act of being ravenously hungry whenever she sees either my wife or I. Many are the times that I’ve told my wife that ‘I’ve just fed the cat, she was famished’, only to learn that my wife had done the same thing a few minutes earlier. BBG is the fifth cat that we’ve owned, and I’ve never known an animal to eat like she does, her appetite puts year 11 Hawke to shame. Little G is also the most devious cat that I’ve ever known. If I’m sitting watching TV and I don’t have a ribbon on a stick toy in my hand, then she goes and sits right in front of the screen until I pick one up. Little G is sensible enough to completely forgo any desire to go outside. We took her out once on lead (don’t ask!), she sniffed the ground a couple of times, prodded the grass and walked right back indoors. Despite all this BBG is incredibly soft and cuddly and utterly GORGEOUS.
